The Conference

The World Engineering Education Forum (WEEF) and the Global Engineering Deans Council (GEDC) conference is an annual event that brings together engineering educators, researchers, corporate professionals, and policymakers from around the world to discuss current issues and advancements in engineering education.

The conference offers a platform for participants to exchange ideas, share best practices, and network with peers from different countries and backgrounds. It features keynote speeches, plenary sessions, technical sessions, workshops, and panel discussions that cover a wide range of topics, including engineering curriculum development, pedagogical approaches, research and innovation in engineering education, diversity and inclusion, and corporation-academia partnerships.

One of the key highlights of the WEEF-GEDC conference is the GEDC Diversity Award, which recognizes initiatives that promote diversity and inclusion in engineering education. The award is presented to a university or program that demonstrates excellence in promoting gender balance, diversity, and inclusivity in engineering education.

Overall, the WEEF-GEDC conference plays a crucial role in advancing engineering education globally by fostering collaboration, innovation, and knowledge-sharing among the engineering community. It provides a unique opportunity for educators and corporate professionals to collaborate and develop solutions to the challenges facing the engineering profession in the 21st century.
